Batavia man behind bars for assault in Elba

42 year old Lamont Crimes of North Street Batavia was arrested and charged with a felony count of first degree Assault following an altercation on Church Street in Elba.
Crimes was accused of stabbing another person with a knife yesterday afternoon.
He was arraigned in Elba Town Court and committed to the Genesee County Jail in Lieu of $15,000 bail.
Crimes is expected to reappear in Elba Town Court on May 31st.
