Dr. Magdi Credi Dies at 74

Well known Batavia physician and surgeon Dr. Magdi Credi has died.
Dr. Credi began his private practice in Batavia in 1976.
He was on the medical staff of both St. Jerome Hospital and Genesee Memorial Hospitals in Batavia.
He was instrumental in the merging of the two hospitals into United Memorial Medical Center and served as the first chairman of the department of surgery at UMMC.
Dr. Credit semi-retired in 2011 and became medical director of GCASA until illness forced his full retirement in 2017.
Dr. Credi was 74.
The Credi family will be present from 2 until 8 pm this Sunday at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am this Monday at Resurrection Parish, St. Joseph’s site.
