A mad dash is on to get the new Van Detta Stadium ready for its Friday night debut and Blue Devils home opener.
A ribbon cutting has been set for 6:30 Friday evening.
Players are set to move into their new locker facility tomorrow afternoon.
WBTA begins coverage of the Van Detta Stadium opening beginning at 3 Friday afternoon with live play by play coverage of the first game starting at 6:45 with Bob Brown and John Vazquez.
State Police have arrested two LeRoy children and accused them of sex offenses.
Following report of an incident at a Town of LeRoy home the night of September 2nd Troopers arrested an 11 year old girl and a 15 year old boy both for a single count of Sexual Misconduct.
Both kids were issued appearance tickets for the Class A misdemeanors returnable to LeRoy Town Court.
Two Holley residents pinched for stealing candy.
29 year old Kay Dilker and 37 year old Joseph Turner are both charged with petit larceny after they allegedly boosted $75 worth of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups from Top’s Market in Batavia.
Police had to chase them down after fleeing the store.
Dilker was jailed on $2,500 bail while Turner was released under supervision of Genesee Justice.
Governor Cuomo will join more than 700 motorcycle riders this afternoon in a 9/11 memorial ride in the city. Cuomo says the ride pays tribute to the first responders who led the recovery efforts during and following the September 11th terrorist attacks. Groups of riders have come from across the state to take part in today’s event. They’ll all take a ceremonial ride down the West Side Highway to the World Trade Center site.
