Genesee Falls to Villa Maria
The Genesee Community College women’s basketball team was defeated on Wednesday night 103-70 to the Villa Maria College Vikings. With the loss, Genesee’s record now sits at 7-3.
TaLia Burgess led the Cougars in scoring with 17 points. LisBeth Pineda Polanco scored 16 points and Grace McComb added 13 points and dished out five assists. Molly Buck had 15 rebounds with 10 coming off the offensive glass.
Genesee is back in action this weekend as they host the 2018 Cougar Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament. Genesee plays the Community College of Rhode Island Knights on Saturday, December 8 at 1:00 pm and then play host to Bryant & Stratton College (Ohio) on Sunday, December 9 at 3:00 pm. Both games will be streamed live on www.geneseeathletics.com
