Sunday at Walmart yielded not just shoppers but shoplifters which led to 2 arrests yesterday. In separate incidents 28 year old Andrea Preston was arrested and charged with petit larceny for leaving the location without paying for merchandise.
Within an hour of that incident a 24 year old buffalo women was arrested and charged when Christine McBride of Kenmore Ave was busted with $366 worth of merchandise she was caught concealing in plastic bags and leaving the store without paying. She is scheduled to appear in court September 17th
Batavia man arrested following stop in Pembroke; Brent Persia 36 of pratt road in Batavia was stopped for speeding in the town of Pembroke Saturday evening and the Genesee county sheriffs administered a breath test that Persia refused to take. Persia was charged with DWI, speeding and refusing to take the breathalyzer test. He will appear in court October 4th
23-year-old, Michael J Pinkerton of W Main St, LeRoy, was arrested in the late evening of September 1, 2018 by the LeRoy Police Department. Pinkerton was charged with; Driving while intoxicated, a class A misdemeanor, Refusal of breath screening test, no/inadequate headlamps, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
At Approximately 10:35 PM on September 1st 2018, patrols observed a vehicle allegedly operating without any headlights in the area of W Main Street in the Village of LeRoy. Patrols initiated a lawful traffic stop and identified the operator as Michael J Pinkerton, and after a subsequent investigation it was believed he was intoxicated and unlawfully possessing Marijuana.
Pinkerton was taken into custody and processed without incident. Pinkerton was arraigned before Honorable Judge Duyssen and remanded to the jail on $500 Cash/ $2500 Bond. Pinkerton is due back in LeRoy town court on September 14th and October 1st 2018 to answer the above charges.
27-year-old, Aaron G Lynch of Churchville, NY was arrested in the early morning of September 3, 2018 by the LeRoy Police Department. Lynch was charged with; Driving while intoxicated, Driving with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 of 1%, both class A misdemeanors, Failure to use designated lane, Drivers view obstructed, two counts of Consumption/alcohol in a motor vehicle, and Uninspected motor vehicle.
At Approximately 02:35 AM on September 3st 2018, Officer assigned to DWI Crackdown Patrol observed a vehicle allegedly operating failing to maintain its designated lane on Wolcott St in the Village of LeRoy. Patrols initiated a lawful traffic stop and identified the operator as Aaron G Lynch and after a subsequent investigation it was believed he was intoxicated.
Lynch is due back in Town of LeRoy Court to answer the above charges on October 1st, 2018.
The Batavia Muckdogs win last night at Dwyer stadium. Sean Reynolds doubled and tripled during the game and had 4 rbi’s as the Muckdogs won over the Auburn Doubledays 5-4 in the 2nd to last game of the season. The Muckdogs finish the season today at 1:05 and can be heard live right here on WBTA.
