Farmer’s Market Opening Day

It’s the first day for the Farmers Market in downtown Batavia with returning vendors alongside several newcomers already attracting customers for a taste of local fare.
New to the Marketplace for this season is Pickle Annie’s who specializes in delicious homemade apple cider vinegars and pickles along with Bad-Ash Bar-B-Que a BBQ food truck from Middleport.
Market Manager Mike Bakos has some special tips for market shoppers…
Beginning in July the Market also gives away a free bag of groceries every week with products donated by the vendors.
Bakos also commented on the DRI project proposal to build an outdoor enclosure to serve as a public marketplace.
