This week’s WBTA Pet of the Week is Cooper, a five-year-old golden retriever who has never met a stranger he didn’t immediately consider a friend. Adopted as a puppy, Cooper quickly became the center of attention in his household thanks to his happy personality and constantly wagging tail.

Cooper’s favorite activity is playing fetch, although his family jokes that he enjoys chasing the ball much more than bringing it back. He also loves riding in the car and somehow always knows when someone says the word “park,” even from another room. On warm afternoons, you can usually find him stretched out on the front porch, keeping watch over the neighborhood.

When it comes to treats, Cooper is a big fan of peanut butter biscuits and will perform an impressive list of tricks for a snack. He knows how to sit, shake, spin, and even “play dead” on command. Despite his size, he still believes he’s a lap dog and never misses an opportunity to climb onto the couch next to his favorite people.

Friendly, loyal, and always ready for an adventure, Cooper brings plenty of joy to everyone he meets. His playful spirit and lovable personality make him a perfect choice for this week’s WBTA Pet of the Week.
