A Bergen man accused by Batavia Police with using a hole-punch to pierce the ear of a child.
46 year old Jeffrey Torrey of McKenzie Street, Bergen, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Police have only said that the child was under 17.
Joseph Berry of Bank Street, Batavia, has been charged with assaulting an employee of a West Main Street business.
The incident happened yesterday at 4 in the morning.
The business was not identified. The 32 year old Berry was locked up and will be back in court today.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office investigating a deadly fall at Zoar Valley. A man was hiking with three other people yesterday afternoon when he fell 70 feet into a gorge.
A rescue was attempted but steep terrain and rainfall made it difficult.
The victim’s name and age have not been released.
Organizers of this year’s Beertavia say twice as many people attended this year’s event than last year. A crowd of 700 was estimated Saturday afternoon. More than two dozen local brewers offered samples of their suds.
The Muckdogs take only one game of their three game series against the Lake Monsters in Burlington, Vermont.
The Dogs are still on the road and begin a series tonight in State College against the Spikes. The Muckdogs return home Thursday night to meet Mahoning Valley.
There will be some delays on Vine Street today.
Crews are scheduled to perform repairs today through Wednesday on Vine between East Main and Bank.

Street is being paved.😊 Now i am hoping they put in sidewalks around the Hotels, shopping and resturants around Batavia Downs. It is a major tourist hub, with the chamber of commerce,and Visitors center..
