Batavia City Council President Gene Jankowski expects to name a new city manager within the next two weeks.
Jankowski tells WBTA News Partner The Batavian that he hopes to name the new manager at city council’s August 13th meeting.
He said the salary offered the new manager will be around 110-thousand a year.
An offer has been made to the finalist but no contract has been signed.
The city has been without a permanent manager since the departure of Jason Molino in January.

There is just six weeks until primary day in New York, and a new poll finds Governor Cuomo with a huge lead over his Democratic rival Cynthia Nixon. The Sienna poll of likely voters gives Cuomo a 60-29 percent lead over Nixon, one of the former stars of the TV show “the Sex in the City.”
The National Comedy Center is holding its grand opening today in Jamestown.
The opening coincides with the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival in Jamestown – Lucy’ home town.
The festival features four days of events, including appearances by Dan Aykroyd, Lily Tomlin and Amy Schumer.
More than 40 comedians will be on hand.
