Family pets rescued from a mobile home fire in Pavilion.
Family members believe most if not all of their eleven animals living in their doublewide mobile home in Pavilion escaped from a blaze at the residence.
A half dozen volunteer fire companies responded to the call for a structure fire at 7230 Telephone Road shortly before noon yesterday morning.
The doublewide trailer was home to a woman and three children along with 6 pet dogs and five cats.
The residence was first reported to be vacant, however firefighters quickly jumped into rescue operations once they spotted a black lab panting out of a window of the home
Assistant Chief in Pavilion Don Roblee said the hot and humid weather affected the volunteers…

Firefighters rescued five dogs from the flames with owners believe all the other animals escaped on their own.
A total of five cats were still missing at last report and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Pembroke man jailed for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman.
36 year old Patrick Thompson of Gabbey Road was arrested following report of a domestic incident at an upper apartment at a Gabby Road address.
Thompson was accused of menacing and making threats then physically assaulting a pregnant woman and in doing so was additionally accused of endangering the welfare of an unborn child.
He was charged with Assault and Menacing both in the third degree along with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Thompson was remanded to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail and is expected back in Pembroke Town Court on August 14th.

Bail raised on Batavia teenager accused of stabbing his classmate.
Batavia City Court Judge Robert Balbick presided yesterday when 18 year old Antwan Odom appeared back in court.
Judge Balbick raised Odom’s bail from $15,000 to $50,000 after it was revealed that he was facing a felony DWI case for allegedly driving drunk with a minor in the Town of Sweden.
The judge said that even with a good bail evaluation score, Odom’s bail should be increased due to the severity of the crime and the pending felony.
Odom is accused of attacking his friend and teammate 17 year old Raymond Leach with a knife.
Officers found Leach suffering from several stab wounds at a home on Ross Street Saturday night.
Leach says the violence started after he accused Odom of stealing from him.
He was hospitalized but has been released and is reportedly doing well.
Odom is due back in court Thursday.

Muckdogs bested by the Black Bears.
West Virginia came out with a clean sweep over Batavia beating the local team 6 to zero at Dwyer Stadium last night.
The series is now split heading into the third game scheduled for tonight.

Attention Batavia motorists.
Richard Avenue will be closed today from Redfield Ave to Woodrow Road for street repairs.
Work is expected to begin this morning at 7:30.
