A Pembroke man arrested for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman.
36 year old Patrick Thompson of Gabbey Road is charged with assault and endangering the welfare of the unborn child.
Thompson was locked up in the county jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
She apparently wanted a souvenir from Darien Lake.
The problem, according to police, is that 33 year old Stephanie Burmeir of North Tonawanda just took some souvenirs without paying for them.
Burmeir is charged with petty larceny and harassment for allegedly kicking a security officer at the park.
The Muckdogs shut out by the Black Bears in West Virginia.
The bears bested the dogs six to nothing last night to even the series at a game apiece.
The same two teams meet again tonight in West Virginia.
National Night Out will be observed locally at Birchwood Village tonight.
The Batavia police and fire departments will be on hand, along with the Youth Bureau and State Police K-9 team from 6 until 8 this evening.
