Bergen woman jailed for allegedly abandoning a 5 year old child.
According to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, 46 year old Christina Wass of Bergen, is accused of leaving a 5 year old child alone without proper supervision while she had the child in her care and custody.
She was arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child following a complaint received Tuesday night in Bergen.
Wass was remanded to the County jail in lieu of $1,000 dollars bail and is scheduled to appear in Bergen Town Court on September 5th.

Pembroke resident arrested after allegedly fleeing from a crash in Batavia.
Following investigation into a report of a property damage accident on Lewiston road in Batavia on Monday afternoon deputies arrested 26 year old Mark Humel of Main Road in Pembroke.
Humel was accused of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol on a revoked driver’s license before causing a crash and leaving the scene.
He is now facing multiple counts of DWAI by a Combination drugs and alcohol, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Operating on a Suspended License and Registration along with leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
Humel was released with appearance tickets for Batavia Town Court on September 24th.

Accident in Alabama ends in arrest for an Alden man.
33 year old John Meiler of Reinhardt Road in Alden was taken into custody by deputies after report of a property damage accident on Bloomingdale road in Alabama on Tuesday.
Lawmen say He was driving under the influence of drugs on a revoked license.
Meiler is charged with DWI, DWAI by Drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, and operating a vehicle without an interlock device.
He was given appearance tickets returnable to Alabama Town Court on September 26th.

Warsaw woman jailed for DWI.
Troopers out of Warsaw arrested 42 year old Heather Aldinger of Warsaw for DWI with a prior conviction, leaving the scene of an accident, along with vehicle and traffic infractions.
Troopers received a call Saturday afternoon of a vehicle that struck several mailboxes and continued traveling. Aldinger was located on Burke Hill Road in Perry and was placed under arrest after failing multiple field sobriety tests.
She was remanded to the Wyoming County Jail on $10,000 bail with her next court date slated for August 20th.

Batavia takes series over West Virginia.
The Muckdogs won against the Black Bears 9 to 3 in their final match of a three game away series taking the series that was split at the second game.
The Dogs are back in Dwyer Stadium to face the Williamsport Crosscutters for a double header this evening.
The first pitch of the first game starts at 5:05 p.m. and all the action can be heard here on WBTA.

Senator Chuck Schumer says the confirmation hearing of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh should be delayed.
Schumer is making the request after President Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen implicated the president was involved in breaking election laws.
In the past, Kavanaugh has said he believes a president shouldn’t have to deal with the burden of a criminal investigation or prosecution while in office.
Republicans say they hope to have Kavanaugh confirmed in October.
