Florida man faces 19 count indictment in attempted murder case in Wyoming County

39 year old Michael Finch of Florida is facing a 19 count grand jury indictment for allegedly entering into a Middelbury residence illegally and violently attacking two brothers.
According to the indictment Finch faces two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon for attacking the 28 year old and his 13 year old brother with a butcher’s knife and a meat cleaver last week.
Finch is also facing five counts of Attempted Murder, six counts of Assault, two counts of Burglary and four counts of Robbery all in the first degree and all felony level charges. He is jailed without bail awaiting arraignment next month.
The boy and his brother were able to fend off Finch’s attack but not before being slashed and stabbed by the intruder dozens of times. The assault left the brothers hospitalized in intensive care with wounds covering their upper bodies including their heads.
Their aunt has set up a go fund me account to help pay for their medical costs.
