A Buffalo woman is jailed after a one car crash in LeRoy.
Deputies say 26 year old Marissa Michael-Connors of Buffalo struck a guard rail last night along Vallance Road.
Lawmen alleged that Michaels-Connors was drunk at the time and driving with a suspended license.
She was locked-up in the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail.
A Batavia woman is charged with entering the Genesee County Probation Building with a knife.
20 year old Miranda Giancarlo was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon on county property.
A new poll shows Governor Cuomo with a 41-point lead over his challenger Cynthia Nixon as the two ready for the Democratic primary later this week. The Siena College poll finds 63-percent of Democratic voters support the current Governor, compared to 22-percent for the former Sex and the City actress. It’s a ten percent increase from last month’s survey as the Governor seeks a third term.
New York City’s Tribute in Light continues tomorrow. The two blue light beams, reaching up to four miles in the sky, will appear from dusk to dawn to commemorate the anniversary of the 9-11 attacks on Lower Manhattan. Assembled on the roof of the Battery Parking Garage south of the 9-11 Memorial, the beams are comprised of 88 seven-thousand-watt xenon light bulbs, echoing the shape of the former Twin Towers. The Tribute in Light was first presented six-months after 9-11 and has been seen each September 11th thereafter.
Batavia City Council meets tonight.
The meeting, with a mostly routine agenda, begins at 7PM in City Hall.
