Bakery burglar in Batavia is behind bars.
Following investigation into a burglary at Gam’s Simply Sweet and Savory in the Batavia City Centre from last September Police took 19 year old D’andre Cramer into custody.
Cramer was accused of stealing from the store and was charged with Burglary, Criminal Mischief and Petit Larceny.
He was committed to the County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail and is expected to reappear in Batavia City Court on Thursday.
A homeless man in the city is now taking up residence in the County Jail after being accused of choking someone.
City Police arrested 22 year old Aaron Hatt following a disturbance at a Thomas Avenue apartment in the city on Friday afternoon.
Hatt was charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Harassment following investigation into the domestic incident along with counts of Criminal Mischief and unlawful possession of pot.
He was remanded to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail and is scheduled for arraignment in City Court this morning.
Accident on Walnut Street leads to drug arrest for a city woman.
28 year old Marissa Royse of South Main Street was arrested and charged with DWAI by a combination of drugs and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana along with a litany of traffic infractions after she allegedly sped down Walnut Street in the city and crashed.
Royse was accused of following too closely, moving from a lane unsafely and failing to keep right following the personal injury accident.
She was released with an appearance ticket for a later date.
The deadline for Republicans to remove Congressman Chris Collins’ name from the November ballot is coming up this week.
G-O-P leaders have until Wednesday to make that happen.
Traditionally, the only way to remove a candidate’s name is if they die, move to another state or are nominated for a different office.
Collins isn’t running for re-election after being arrested on federal charges.
Whoever the Republican nominee is will face Democrat Nate McMurray on Election Day.
The Buffalo Bills are still looking for their first win of the N-F-L season.
Rookie quarterback Josh Allen threw a touchdown and two interceptions in his first career start, but it wasn’t enough, as his team fell to the Los Angeles Chargers 31 to 20 at New Era Field.
The Bills are now oh and two for the first time since 2016.
They’ll be in Minnesota next Sunday afternoon to face the Vikings.
