A new poll is giving Governor Andrew Cuomo a 22-point lead over his Republican challenger Marc Molinaro in next month’s election. The Siena College poll finds 50-percent of voters support Cuomo in a six-person field for Governor, while 28-percent back Molinaro. Working Families Party candidate Cynthia Nixon has 10 percent support, and the other three minor party candidates have a combined backing of four percent.

New Yorkers will have a record number of female candidates to consider on Election Day. According to the “Times Union” in Albany, there are at least 105 women running for office this year on either the Democratic or Republican lines.
The data also shows many of them are running for public office for the first time.
