City Needs Help Filling Committees

Have you ever wondered why one permit is approved and the other denied? Or how that business ended up right between two houses? If you volunteer for a committee then you can have those questions answered and have your ideas heard! For about an hour a month (or sometimes less!!) you can be on the inside and help make your community better. There are a variety of committees and boards so find one that meets your interests. Volunteer today to see the difference you can make! Applications are available at the City Clerk’s office or online at www.batavianewyork.com in the documents section. Get your application in as soon as possible! The following boards have vacancies we are looking to fill for 2019:
Board of Assessment Review
Community Garden
Historic Preservation Commission
Plumbing Board (Journeyman Plumber)
Youth Board
Zoning Board of Appeals
