The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Northern Erie and Genesee counties.
The Advisory is expected to last from midnight tonight to 7 o’clock Thursday night with forecasters calling for 4 to 7 inches of total snow accumulations in the most persistent lake snows.
Winds gusting as high as 35 mph may also produce areas of blowing snow.
A separate advisory issued for several counties to the South including Wyoming County is predicting up to 9 inches and will be in effect until Friday morning.
Forecasters say drivers should plan on slippery road conditions tomorrow morning.

Police apprehend suspected shoplifter from JC Penny.
The suspect described as a black male with a black backpack and camo pants was taken into custody in the area of State Street in Batavia following an apparent larceny from JC Penny.
The subject reportedly stole an item then knocked an elderly female over as he ran from the store.
An ambulance was requested to the store for the elderly woman who reportedly suffered a hip injury.
Police have yet to release an arrest report on the incident.

A Batavia teen is being held without bail for domestic dispute in the city.
An unnamed 17 year old male resident of Walnut Street in the city has been arrested on counts of Criminal Mischief, Coercion, Harassment and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
He was taken into custody following a domestic incident at a Lewis Place address late Friday night.
The teen was ordered to be held without bail pending his appearance in City Court.

Incident on Bank Street leads to arrest for a Batavia land lord.
67 year old Douglas Goodwin Sr. of Bank Street was arrested for Criminal Tampering after he allegedly caught by police throwing his tenants clothing and furniture outside.
The incident apparently caused a major inconvenience for his tenant who had to repair and clean up his property.
Goodwin was released with an appearance ticket.

Continued growth spurs move by Independent Living.
Independent Living of the Genesee Region is leaving their Batavia office at 113 Main St. for their new quarters in the Crickler Executive Business Center at on W. Main Street, in the old Pepsi distribution center.
The current 18 employees will be moving to their new digs on January 2nd of next year due to substantial expansion of their services and staff in the last few years.
The other good news is that their phone number will not change.

The winless streak for the Buffalo Sabres is now at four games.
They were beaten by the Toronto Maple Leafs at KeyBank Center last night by a score of 4 to 3.
Auston Matthews scored with seconds left in overtime to give the Maple Leafs their fifth straight victory.
The Sabres take the ice next on Saturday when they play the Philadelphia Flyers.

Don’t expect anything in your mailbox today.
The Postal Service is suspending mail delivery and retail service in honor of former President George H.W. Bush.
Today has been designated as a national day of mourning.
While there will be no regular service, postal officials say there will be limited package delivery service.
