Teen City on fast track to open in Batavia.
A New Teen center is a step closer to reality in Batavia now that the St. Anthony’s site on Liberty Street owned by the City Church has been officially rezoned for the opening of the new teen city project.
The rezoning will allow the Batavia Youth Bureau to move from their MacArthur drive location to the church owned property on Liberty Street so they along with the YMCA can operate the afterschool teen city program from the site.
According to Jocelyn Sikorski Batavia Youth Bureau executive director, plans are set to open the Teen City program by the first quarter of next year.
Erratic driver in LeRoy behind bars for felony DWAI.
Sheriff’s Deputies managed to locate an alleged erratic driver and initiate a traffic stop on Main Road in Stafford following multiple reports of the dangerous driver heading westbound through LeRoy.
Deputies arrested the driver, 51 year old Roberta Goodman of East Main Street LeRoy following a failed field sobriety test.
She was taken into custody on a felony count of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs for having a prior conviction and was remanded to the Genesee County Jail in Lieu of $2,500 bail.
Additional Charges are pending.
Missing person reported in Medina.
The Village of Medina Police Department has issued a missing person report for 58 year old Heriberto Torres of Medina.

Two city residents jailed on arrest warrants.
While responding to report of a possible domestic incident at a State Street address, Batavia Police discovered 34 year old Matthew Reed who was apprehended on an arrest warrant stemming from an incident on West Main Street last Thursday.
He was ordered to be held in lieu of bail pending his court appearance.
City Police also arrested 20 year old Jzon Richardson of Central Ave on a warrant for criminal contempt.
The charge stems from a November incident at an apartment on Ellicott Street in the city.
Richardson was also held in lieu of bail pending his court appearance.
The former leader of SUNY Polytechnic will be in a federal courtroom today.
Doctor Alain Kaloyeros will find out how long he could spend in prison after being convicted in a bid-rigging scheme related to the Buffalo Billion economic project.
His sentence will be handed down by the same judge who also sentenced his co-defendants.
In those cases, each man was sentenced to at least two years behind bars and a $500,000 fine.
Genesee County to Participate in Statewide STOP-DWI Holiday Season Crackdown Enforcement Effort
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, City of Batavia and Village of LeRoy Police Departments will participate in a special enforcement effort to crackdown on impaired driving.
Crackdown efforts start on December 13th and will end on January 1st. New York State Police, County Sheriff and municipal law enforcement agencies across the state will be out in force.
