Two missing Albion children have been found safe.
Albion Police say 12 year old Jennifer Lauro-Ramierez and 14 year old Raul Cruz have been located. Police credited media reports issued earlier today for tips that led them to the pair. Jennifer and Raul were believed to be together.
Police have not commented as to why the children went missing. They said the kids were attempting to remain missing for an extended period of time.
Both have been returned to their parents.
Sheriff Gregory Rudolph
Wyoming County Sheriff Gregory Rudolph expressing his gratitude to the community and the men who came to his aid during a violent attack earlier this week.
The sheriff was driving through Attica on his way to work Tuesday morning when a car pulled up behind him, flashing its lights. Police said the driver of that car, later identified as 48 rear old Lynn Hall of Castile, attacked Rudolph with a knife and threatened to kill him.
Two civilians and an off duty state trooper stepped into the melee. Rudolph characterized their actions as, “heroic.”
The sheriff returned to work today. He suffered cuts and bruises in the attack.
Hall has been charged with attempted murder.
The 35th annual Christmas Toy Drive for the Salvation Army will be held all day tomorrow at the showroom of Ken Barrett Chevrolet.
The community is asked to donate a new, unwrapped toy, to be distributed among 375 children who have been registered through the Salvation Army.
The annual campaign is co-sponsored by WBTA and supported this year by a record number of local businesses.
The Buffalo Sabres are looking for their second straight win. They’ll be hosting the Arizona Coyotes tonight at KeyBank Center. On Tuesday, the Sabres snapped a five game winless streak with a victory over the Los Angeles Kings. Face off tonight is set for 7 p.m.
