Batavia Police have one man in custody but so far no victim of a suspected stabbing on Ellicott Street.
Just before midnight, police raced to a location on Ellicott near Swan Street for a report of a stabbing.
Shortly after arrival police started chasing a possible suspect described as a bald, black man, wearing a blue jacket.
He was eventually taken into custody but no charges have been filed because the suspected victim has not been found.
James Grazioplene
Retired Army General from Batavia has been indicted for rape and incest.
The estranged daughter of Maj. Gen. James Grazioplene, formerly of Batavia, says she was sexually abused for years by her father.
Jennifer Elmore, now 47 and living in Virginia, says the abuse started when she was 3 years old living in LeRoy. Virginia has no statute of limitations on rape. A grand jury in Virginia indicted Grazioplene earlier this month.
A Batavia woman arrested in an alleged case of child abuse.
38 year old Tiffany Fay of Batavia was arrested following investigation into an incident in the Town of Batavia on Sunday morning.
Fay was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and Acting in a Manner Injurious to a Child under 17 years old.
Spectrum Cable is reaching a deal with New York State misleading internet speeds.
The state argued last year that Spectrum had advertised speeds that were in fact up to 80-percent slower in reality.
Spectrum’s parent company will refund over 62-million-dollars to 700-thousand active customers, and offer an additional 110-million-dollars in free streaming and premium cable channels
The Buffalo Sabres will look for a second straight win tonight. They’re hosting the Florida Panthers at KeyBank Center. Buffalo is currently in second place in the Atlantic Division, seven points behind the Tampa Bay Lightning. Face off tonight is set for 7 p.m.
