A new report shows people are leaving New York State in large numbers. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, between July of 2017, and July of this year more than 48,000 people left the Empire State.
That’s the highest number of any state. Despite the losses, there are still more than 19-million people living in New York.
Only California, Texas and Florida have more residents.
If you’re crossing the border Christmas Day, you won’t have to pay a toll on the Peace Bridge.
Officials announced drivers will be able to save the usual $3.75 on Tuesday only.
They say it’s a nice way to spread some holiday cheer to travelers.
Batavia Downs today reported on their 2018 racing season.
The Downs had fewer races this year: 672 compared to 806 last year.
As a result the total handle at the track was down 11-percent.
The Downs said fewer races are due to the lack of available horses to race.
Wegmans has issued a recall of several of its products.
The supermarket chain says its one pound bag and half-pound bags of Cauliflower Rice, Stir Fry Blend and Veggie Rice Blend may be contaminated with E. coli. So far, no illnesses have been reported.
If you have any of those items, return them for a full refund.
