Plans for replacing the over-crowded Genesee County Jail is beginning to show signs of progress.
Genesee County Manager Gsell talked about those plans on today’s Main & Center program

Gsell is hopeful that the 9 acre parcel of land with direct access to Route 5 will be approved as the designated site for a new jail facility that could house between 124 and 184 inmates.
He says having an approved location would put the County in a good position to begin the next phase of planning.

Genesee County Lawmen are thankful for their new K9 and the community that made the purchase of the dog possible.
The new K-9, that is still undergoing training, has been named “Frankie” in honor of late Deputy Frank Bordonaro.
