…A BAND OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL AFFECT WESTERN WYOMING…ERIE AND SOUTHWESTERN GENESEE COUNTIES…
At 927 AM EST, A band of lake effect snow producing snow fall rates of up to an inch per hour from Buffalo east to Corfu and from Silver Creek east past Holland. Snow will vary in intensity, but wind gusts occasionally excess of 30 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow, particularly over open areas. Snow will drift a few miles north today and then settle back to the south by this evening.
Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra time when traveling.
Locations impacted include…
Buffalo, Cheektowaga, West Seneca, Clarence, Lackawanna, Batavia, Kenmore, Depew, Tonawanda, Amherst, Lancaster, Hamburg, East Aurora, Williamsville, Darien Lakes State Park, Evans, Elma, Boston, Eden and Marilla.
This includes Interstate 90 between exits 57A and 48.
