Dense fog this morning as Flood Watch remains in effect.
A Flood Watch is in effect for Genesee, Wyoming and Orleans Counties until late Wednesday night.
The combination of snow melt and rain may result in water levels rising and ice jam flooding of area creeks and rivers.
Cooler temperatures tomorrow and Wednesday are expected to slow the melting process.
Special Weather Statement was also posted by the Weather Service for Patchy Dense Fog This Morning.
Forecasters say dense fog across the region this morning and is expected to diminish through as a cold front crosses the region.
Morning commuters are being cautioned to anticipate low visibility during the morning drive.

State Assemblyman and Lobbyist indicted on federal charges.
Both 79 year old New York State Assemblyman Joseph Errigo, of Conesus, and 48 year old Lobbyist Robert Gaddy, of Albany have been hit with a six count federal indictment charging them with conspiracy, receiving a bribe, wire fraud, and using a facility in interstate commerce to carry on and facilitate unlawful activity.
Gaddy is also charged with agreeing to pay a bribe and offering and paying a bribe concerning programs receiving federal funds.
The charges carry a maximum possible sentence of 20 years in prison and a quarter million dollar fine.

A Silver Springs man sentenced to prison for child porn conviction.
26 year old Ronald Caryl, of Silver Springs was sentenced to serve 200 months in prison and 20 years supervised release after being convicted of conspiracy to produce child pornography.
Caryl was accused of pressuring a 23 year old woman in Nashville, Tennessee into sending naked pictures of her one year old daughter to him through MeetMe.com, a social networking service.
The victim’s mother was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office in the Middle District of Tennessee.
She has pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing in federal court in Tennessee.

Two men arrested for trying to run scams in Darien.
35 year old Charles Cooper of Lodi and 32 year old Joshua Cooper of Ovid were both arrested for Conspiracy, Scheme To Defraud and Soliciting without a Permit for allegedly offering residents on Alleghany Road in Darien driveway repair work.
It was alleged they were performing the work without consent from the owner and were demanding money.
Both were released with appearance tickets.

Governor Andrew Cuomo says the state faces a major budget shortfall and he’s blaming recent changes to the federal tax code.

Cuomo says when the state and local tax deduction was capped at 10-thousand-dollars it forced the richest New Yorkers to move elsewhere.
He praised New York’s progressive tax structure, but highlighted that with the top one-percent of earners paying over 50-percent of the state’s taxes, there’s a real risk when wealthy people move out of the state.

Assemblyman Steve Hawley said Governor Cuomo should look in the mirror to see who is really to blame for his projected $2.3 billion budget shortfall.
Hawley said in a statements that “This gigantic budget shortfall wasn’t caused by the federal government or its policies.”
Hawley blamed reckless spending, tax credits for rich Hollywood producers and a billion dollars spent on the New York subway system.
