Driving conditions on the way home worsening by the hour in Genesee County and most of Western New York. The National Weather Service has issued two advisories:
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 1 AM Thursday morning and a High Wind Advisory has been posted until 10 tonight.
The weather services is predicting Lake Effect Snow for the region with accumulation of two inches or more. During wind gusts, expect bursts of whiteout conditions.

Batavia Downs has announced a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Woodstock. The Downs has booked five tribute bands and artists who played at the original Woodstock Music Festival in 1969.
The Down’s tribute show has been dubbed, “Batavistock” and will be held this summer on Saturday, July 20th. The concert headliner is singer Melanie” who performed at the original Woodstock. Complete details on Bataviastock are on our website.
If you use E-Z Pass on the state Thruway and received a speed warning last month, you may get to ignore the notice.
The Thruway Authority says many E-ZPass users got a speeding notice in the mail, warning that their account could get suspended following the next violation.
However, those warnings were meant for drivers speeding through toll booths.
The Thruway Authority believes the glitch targeted drivers traveling on January 24 and is working to determine how many motorists were affected.
For the first time since 1992, the state Legislature are holding a public hearing on sexual harassment today. Lawmakers will be listening to people who say their complaints involving harassment in the workplace weren’t handled correctly. In recent years, there have been several harassment scandals at the Capitol involving lawmakers and staff.
