The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a van versus farm tractor accident that occurred on North Bergen Road in Byron and ended with one man in the hospital.
Emergency dispatchers received the call shortly after 7 Friday night reporting a personal injury accident.
Deputies say that Kip Keller of Byron was headed eastbound in an older model John Deere tractor hauling a manure spreader while a 2015 Dodge van operated by Richard White of Brockport approached from behind.
The van reportedly struck the manure spreader from behind causing it to detach from the tractor and come to rest with the van.
Paul Tuttle of Bergen a passenger in the van was flown via Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
Both Keller and White were taken via ambulance for minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under a full investigation.
An unnamed teenager is the latest to be accused of local business burglaries according to City Police.
A 17 year old has been arrested as an accomplice in a series of business burglaries in Batavia.
The teenager has not been identified.
Police say he was arrested on a Grand Jury indictment accusing him of four counts of felony burglary.
The break-ins all occurred from January 4th through the 7th.
Most of the businesses were located on or near Ellicott Street.
Parolee Christopher Sprague had previously been arrested in connection with the same crimes.
Batavia Police are trying to locate a missing adult.
Her name is Jessica Deridder.
She was last seen a week ago after attending a meeting in Batavia.
Police say she may be in the company of Luis Ramos-Mercado.

There’s a new manager for the Batavia Muckdogs.
He is Jorge Hernandez, a 13 year coaching veteran for the Miami Marlins, the Muckdogs Parent club.
Hernandez is taking over for former manager Mike Jacobs who was promoted to manage the Clinton Iowa affiliate after 2 seasons in Batavia.
Payless ShoeSource will close all 21-hundred-stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico after its liquidation sales begin on Sunday.
The company made the announcement on Friday, becoming the biggest closing by a single chain this year.
A Payless spokesperson says the stores will most likely remain open until May.
The Kansas-based discount shoe retailer previously filed for bankruptcy protection in 2017 when they closed 673 stores.
