A Batavia woman busted after being found asleep at the wheel.
39 year old Elizabeth Johnson of Batavia was discovered by Deputies asleep in her vehicle with her motor running on Indian Falls Road in Pembroke early Saturday morning.
Following a roadside investigation Johnson was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated and for Drinking Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle on a Highway.
She was ultimately released with an appearance ticket for Pembroke Town Court on March 21st.
An Oakfield resident arrested for reconnecting to the village water line.
36 year old Brian Falk of Irving Parkway in Oakfield was arrested and charged with Criminal Tampering following investigation into a larceny complaint from the Village of Oakfield Water Department.
Falk was accused of reconnecting to the Village’s waterline after the connection was previously terminated.
He was issued an appearance ticket for Monday in Oakfield Town Court.
The New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services has announced that more than $5.1 million in funding has been awarded to establish 14 new recovery community centers across New York State, and expand services at two existing recovery centers.
The Genesee Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse, Inc. also known as GCASA in Genesee County has received $260,000 for their new recovery center.
New School Resource Officers in Albion and Oakfield-Alabama.
Albion Police Officer Christopher Glogowski was officially appointed to the School Resource Officer position for the Albion Central School District.
Officer Glogowski has been a Law Enforcement Officer for about 3 years
Deputy Howard Wilson, V has been selected by the Oakfield-Alabama Central School District as its School Resource Officer.
Deputy Wilson is a 5-year veteran of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
