Local Drug Task Force arrests five for crack cocaine.
Five people have been arrested in a Liberty Street drug bust.
According to authorities the arrests came as a result of an investigation by the Probation Department and Child Protection Services.
Three of the five arrested were from Batavia: 46 year old Angela Bateman, 30 year old Nikki Stonebraker, and 25 year old Joseph Burr.
Two other men were from Rochester.
Police say a probation officer found 56 bags of cocaine in the home, as well as drug paraphernalia, pills and cash.
Genesee County Sheriff’s release latest round of wanted suspects.
The list includes 37 year old Brian Lambert of Prune Street Batavia, who is wanted for criminal possession of stolen property out of Stafford Town Court and 31 year old Dennis O’Neal, of Pinetta Florida who is wanted out of Darien Town Court for criminal mischief.
33 year old Trista Winchell of Beaumont, California, 48 year old Robert Sathmary of Port Colborne Ontario Canada and 28 year old Roldan Roblero-Morales of Elba are all wanted for Driving While Intoxicated.

Medina man who led police on pursuit through Alabama receives additional felonies.
32 year old Jessy Miller of Medina is now facing felony counts of Unlawful Imprisonment, Criminal Mischief, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and a misdemeanor count of Fleeing a Police Officer out Shelby Town Court.
Miller is accused of taking lawmen on a car chase through Orleans and Genesee County on March 4th in which a woman was struck by a vehicle on Judge Road in Alabama.
Miller was ordered to be held in jail as the investigation is pending.
For the second year in a row the Batavia City School District has been named one of the best places to work in the region.
The ranking was again compiled by the Democrat and Chronicle.
The newspaper also gave the school district an “I Love My Job” award based on the results of an employee satisfaction survey.
It’s time to break out the reusable bags.
New York state lawmakers have reportedly reached a deal that will ban plastic bags and charge five cents for paper bags.
The ban would exempt certain types of plastic bags for restaurants, deli or meat counter products, garments and trash bags.
If approved as part of the budget due April 1st, the measure would go into effect next March.
