Suspect pulls an apparent handgun on City Police as a heroic citizen steps-in to help.
City Police are thanking the efforts of an unnamed citizen who literally stepped-in to stop the escalation of an altercation between a suspect and an officer that could have ended badly.
Officer Darryle Streeter conducted a traffic stop early yesterday morning on Cedar Street near Ellicott in which he spotted passenger, a trespassing suspect, 32 year old Brandon Fogg of Liberty Street.
Fogg attempted to flee and the officer took him to the ground at which point Fogg began to fight then pulled a black handgun from his pocket, pointing it toward the officer.
When the altercation broke out an employee of a local business came to help, stepping on Fogg’s wrist, making him loose his grip on the gun which was later identified as a BB pistol.
There were no injured reported and Fogg is jailed without bail charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Obstructing Governmental Administration and Trespassing.

Holley man accused of dealing fatal drug doses to a Clarendon man.
28 year old Logan DiPilato of Holley has been arrested by Orleans County Sheriff’s Deputies on charges of Criminally Negligent Homicide, Criminal Possession and Criminal sale of a Controlled Substance in connection with an overdose death in Clarendon.
Deputies responded to a Town of Clarendon residence Saturday to investigate the apparent unattended death of Mark Kinsey.
DiPilato is accused of selling four bags of Fentanyl to Kinsey which led to his overdose death.
DiPilato was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail and is expected to reappear on the count of Criminally Negligent Homicide in Clarendon Town Court on June 10th. Lawmen say additional charges are forthcoming.

Batavia woman charged with endangerment for leaving children alone.
28 year old Jessica Weiss of Main Street Road was arrested by Batavia Police yesterday afternoon following complaint from a local motel that Weiss had allegedly left her young children alone in their residence for a long period of time.
She was charged with two counts of Endangering The Welfare of Child and was given an appearance ticket for Batavia Town Court on July 1st.
