Alleged sexual abuse of minors at Darien Lake ends in arrest.
Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies took 23 year old Buffalo resident Terill Cunningham into custody following a sexual abuse investigation at Darien Lake.
Cunningham is facing counts of first and second degree Sexual Abuse along with Forcible Touching of two minors.
He was arraigned Thursday night in Darien Town Court and ordered held at Genesee County Jail in lieu of 25-hundred dollars bail.
Cunningham is expected to reappear Tuesday in Darien Town Court.

Congressman Chris Collins has announced that the Northern Border Regional Commission’s State & Infrastructure Investment Grant has allocated $480,000 to the Orleans County IDA.
This grant will provide funding for engineering work and construction improvements to nine railroad bridges and culverts on the Falls Road Railroad in Orleans and Niagara Counties.
This grant is expected to help retain more than 225 jobs in the surrounding region.

Sheriff William Sheron announces the second Annual Genesee County Sheriff’s Office Teen Academy Graduating Class
The academy provides students with the opportunity to experience the various roles of law enforcement in our community, to which Sheron said students eagerly embraced throughout this week-long program.
Paola Perez-Matos and Drew Edwards were named Class Captains for the Second Annual Genesee County Sheriff’s Office Teen Academy.
The Sheriff said the academy was made possible with the support of the Genesee County STOP DWI and the Genesee County Legislators adding that the Sheriff’s Office is looking forward to continuing this annual event for students throughout Genesee County for many more years to come.

Muckdogs come up short against the Crosscutters.
The Batavia Muckdogs dropped a tough home game to Williamsport, 5 to 3 Friday night.
With a loss by West Virginia, Batavia keeps a two game lead in the New York Penn-League Pinckney Division.
Saturday night could be a record crowd, as it is Tompkins Bank of Castile Night and they bought 2,000 tickets which have been given out to fans not to mention they will have fireworks after the game.
You can hear the Saturday home game live on WBTA beginning at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday’s match up at 5:05 p.m.

Effective this Monday July 29th, there will be a single lane closure on Creek Road at the intersection of Cook Road for bridge painting.
There will be a temporary traffic light at the intersection.
The closure will last approximately 2 weeks and the Genesee County Highway Department will notify residents when the road reopens.
