A Trio of Albion men suspected of burglarizing an Albion home and committing multiple larcenies from vehicles in the Village were apprehended by Albion Police last night.
Police were called for reported car alarm sounding and suspicious people around the vehicle shortly after midnight last night.
Officers allegedly found 33 year olds Benjamin Coger and James Gursslin, along with an unnamed 17-year-old suspect, all in possession of stolen items and burglary tools.
All three were arrested and charged with counts of burglary, grand larceny, petit larceny, and various misdemeanor counts with charges pending.
The teen was placed on house arrest and Both Coger and Gursslin were released with appearance tickets.
All three had prior criminal history and had been previously arrested and released for various other burglaries.
Lawmen are encouraging anyone suspicious that they may have had their home burglarized or had items stolen from their vehicles to contact their police department.
State Police name New Troop-A Commander.
Major James M. Hall, a 25-year veteran of the New York State Police has been named the 25th Troop Commander in the 102-year history of Troop A.
As the Troop A Commander, Hall will oversee all State Police patrol and investigative operations within the eight counties of Western New York for more than 400 sworn and civilian personnel.
The whole GLOW region is going under a Winter Weather Advisory this evening.
The National Weather Service has issued the advisory to be in effect from 7 this evening until 1 PM Thursday before an anticipated Winter Storm Watch goes into effect Thursday evening through late Friday night.
Forecasters are calling for mixed precipitation with total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches by tomorrow afternoon and ice accumulations of a few hundredths of an inch.
The Genesee County Economic Development Center board will consider accepting applications for assistance from Borrego Solar for five community solar projects at their board meeting Thursday.
Borrego Solar is investing approximately $21.6 million, into five solar projects expected to produce 22 megawatts of energy to subscribers and to generate over $2 million in revenues to municipalities and schools where the projects are located within Genesee County.
Since all the projects are requesting over $100,000 in incentives, public hearings will be scheduled for comment and feedback to the requests.
The Buffalo Sabres pursuit of a playoff spot takes another hit following a tough loss at home.
Sam Reinhart had Buffalo’s lone goal in a six-to-one defeat to the Colorado Avalanche at KeyBank Center last night.
The Sabres still have 53 points on the season and are now 12 points out of the final playoff position in the Eastern Conference.
The Sabres will be back home tomorrow night when they host the Detroit Red Wings.
