New Cases
As of 2:00 p.m. Genesee County received 0 new positive cases of COVID-19 for a total of 165 positive cases. Two of the previous positive cases have recovered and have been released from mandatory isolation. 4 of the total active positive cases are hospitalized.
Orleans County received 0 new positive cases of COVID-19 for a total of 142 positive cases. Two of the previous positive cases have recovered and have been released from mandatory isolation. 10 of the total active positive cases are hospitalized. Please note those in the hospital may be from the community or a state-regulated facility. We do not separate them out to protect their privacy.

The facility breakdown is only showing those facilities from where we received a postive swab for COVID-19. Facilities will be added when and if there is a positive case of COVID19. If a regulated facility from either of our counties is not listed, there are no positive cases of COVID-19 as of the release of this briefing. The local health departments do not have oversight with many regulated facilities, which may include nursing homes, correctional facilities, hospitals, etc.
Pediatric Multi-System Inflammatory Syndrome is a new health condition appearing in children between the ages of 0-21. Some doctors think the condition is related to having COVID-19, but the connection is still not clear. If you notice any of the following symptoms, call your pediatrician: a fever that won’t go away, abdominal pain, diarrhea or vomiting, rash or changes in skin color, trouble breathing, and your child seems confused or overly sleepy. While Pediatric Multi-system Inflammatory Syndrome sounds frightening, the American Academy of Pediatrics reminds parents that this condition is very rare.
