Police Blotter Roundup

It was a busy stretch for Batavia Police — starting with a brawl on Porter Avenue that drew a big crowd and ended with five people in cuffs. Charges included disorderly conduct, harassment, and even endangering the welfare of a child. Everyone walked away with appearance tickets.
Elsewhere, officers say a bike thief pedaled off the wrong way — 53-year-old Donnie Armstrong is accused of swiping a bicycle from East Main Street.
One arrest turned chaotic when 54-year-old Loretta Baer allegedly threw something at an officer, then took off running. She didn’t get far.
In another case, police say 74-year-old Robert Ergas damaged a fire alarm control panel, earning himself a criminal mischief charge.
And finally, a couple of familiar charges: criminal contempt for both Justin Calmes and Carl Russo, each accused of violating orders of protection.
