The PGCBL have announced that tonight’s scheduled game between the Newark Pilots and Batavia Muckdogs at Dwyer Stadium has been cancelled due to inclement weather and unplayable field conditions.
The safety of the players, coaches umpire staff and fans remains the organization’s top priority. While the Muckdogs were looking forward to hosting the Pilots, the decision to cancel the contest was made after careful consideration of current weather conditions and the forecast.
Fans who were planning to attend tonight’s game are encouraged to stay tuned to the Batavia Muckdogs official Instagram for information regarding ticket policies and any updates concerning the canceled contest.
The Muckdogs will now turn their attention to the remainder of the season. Muckdogs travel to Auburn tomorrow to take on the Auburn Doubledays in a road matchup as the team looks to continue its strong play.
The Muckdogs then return home on Thursday when they welcome the Auburn Doubledays to Dwyer Stadium for the second of a home-and- home series between both teams. First pitch is scheduled for 6;30 P.M. Fans are encouraged to come out and cheer on the Muckdogs as they take the field for another night of exciting baseball.
Please note that tickets are valid for any remaining regular-season home game. The playoffs begin on Monday, July 27. To reserve your playoff tickets, call the Muckdogs at (585) 524-2260 or stop by the Dwyer Stadium box office, located at 299 Bank Street, Batavia, NY.
