Correction Officer Norman T. Itjen Retires After 25 Years

Correction Officer Norman T. Itjen, a 25-year veteran of Genesee County and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, retired at the end of his shift Tuesday. Itjen started his career with the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office in the Jail on September 8, 1993.
During his tenure, Norm earned several awards which include a Meritorious Award and three Commendations. Norm’s commitment in serving as the Sheriff’s Employee Association President for numerous years shows the dedication and passion he has for his profession and fellow colleagues.
“I would like to thank Norm for his dedication to serving the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Genesee County,” said Sheriff William A. Sheron, Jr.
