Batavia Police are asking for information about a missing city woman.
She is 25 year old Desiree Hutchinson.
She hasn’t been seen or heard from since December 29th.
She is described as a white woman, 4ft 9in tall, 150 pounds. We have a picture of Desiree posted on the local news page of our website.
Anyone with information is asked to call Batavia Police.
Republican State Assemblyman Steve Hawley of Batavia takes himself out of consideration for Assembly Minority Leader.
Hawley is endorsing Assemblyman William Barclay of Syracuse for minority leader.
Hawley is mentioned as a possible GOP candidate for the congressional seat vacated by Chris Collins.
The news just keeps getting worse when it comes to the spread of the flu across New York. According to the Department of Health, there were 92-hundred confirmed cases of the virus during the week ending December 28th.
Nearly 1,400 people were also hospitalized due to complications from the virus, a nearly 120-percent spike from the week before.
The City of Batavia is now picking up discarded Christmas Trees.
The city will only pick-up real trees that have been stripped of all decorations.
Residents are asked to place their trees in the parkway – the area between the curb and sidewalk.
The last day for pick-up will be Jan 31st.
