Alecia Hinkson Signs LOI with Genesee Volleyball and Softball

BATAVIA, NY… Genesee Community College volleyball coach Emilee Piechocki and softball coach Taylor Maurer have signed two-sport athlete Alecia Hinkson to the Cougar Pride.

Alecia Hinkson is coming to Genesee from LA Webber High School in Lyndonville. Hinkson is a two-sport athlete as she will also be on the Cougars’ softball team. At LA Webber, Hinkson also played basketball as well as softball and volleyball. She was MVP for volleyball, a three year varsity starter and was an All-Star her senior year for softball as well as two years for volleyball. Her favorite moments include team bonding and winning Sectionals her sophomore year in softball. Her role model is volleyball coach Katlyn Draper as Draper made Alecia the athlete that she is today. Her favorite pregame meal is spaghetti. She will be a Physical Education major at Genesee in pursuits of becoming a Physical Education teacher.

The 2018 Cougars volleyball team finished the season with a record of 15-11 and competed at both the Western New York Athletic Conference Tournament and the NJCAA Region III Tournament.
