GCC Athletics Update: Women’s Basketball

The Genesee women’s basketball team improved their record to 11-5 after a 45-point victory (88-43) over the Cayuga Community College Spartans on Tuesday afternoon.
The Cougars were led offensively by TaLia Burgess who scored 18 points and added 13 rebounds, recording a double-double. Erina Ishiguro scored 14 points including hitting both of her three-point attempts. LisBeth Pineda Polanco added 14 points and dished out 6 assists. As a team, the Cougars shot a perfect 7-7 from beyond the arch.
Genesee is back in action on Tuesday, January 15 as the Cougars travel to Herkimer College. The next home game is on Saturday, January 26 against Monroe CC.
