Grand Jury Rules Fatal Shooting Justified

A Genesee County Grand Jury has found that the fatal shooting of a suspect by a sheriff’s deputy was justified.
61 year old Keith Kent of Albion was shot and killed by Deputy Ryan Young in the parking lot of the Log Cabin Restaurant on April 11th.

Deputy Young fired 15 shots from a service weapon, an AR15 rifle, two shots hit Kent, and the fatal wound struck him in the neck.
Deputy Young has since returned to duty and authorities say the case is now closed.
