Power has been restored to nearly all customers of National Grid in Genesee County. They are a few outages in LeRoy.
At times late this morning as many as two-thousand customers were without power.

 

The National Weather Service says there is a Marginal Risk for severe thunderstorms today.
We have had some lights to moderate rain this afternoon in Batavia.
The weather Service says if thunderstorms should development, they will have the potential for damaging winds and very heavy rain.

U.S. Attorney James Kennedy is meeting with Rochester police and Monroe County DA’s Office to discuss ongoing violence in the city.
This year alone, there have already been 35 homicides in Rochester. -0-

The Buffalo Sabres have officially hired Don Granato to be the team’s next head coach. Granato led Buffalo during the final 28 games of this past season when he replaced Ralph Krueger.
Granato will have a lot of work to do to turn the Sabres around after the team finished with the worst record in the National Hockey league.

The Toronto Blue Jays have extended their winning streak to three following another victory at Sahlen Field.
The Blue Jays defeated the Seattle Mariners 9 – 3  last night.
The Blue Jays and Mariners will continue their series tonight with first pitch scheduled for 7:07p.m.
