47-year-old Lori Ann Adolf of Pembroke now admits to the abuse of 13 dogs and two cats at her Akron Road home.
Adolf was arrested last March when deputies found the animals l8iving in deplorable conditions.
Under terms of a plea agreement, Adolf is likely to be placed on three years’ probation and during that time she can not own, purchase, breed or work with any animal of any kinds.
All the dogs have been or will be turned over to the Genesee County Animal Shelter. Many of the animals are available for adoption.
The court has ordered that Adolf must continue mental health and substance abuse treatment.
The number of COVID cases in New York continues to slowly rise. According to the latest report, the statewide 7-day average positivity rate has climbed to 0.95%. Hospitalizations have remained steady during the past 24 hours. Cases in the Finger Lakes Region – which includes Genesee County – have declined slightly.
A Batavia woman will appear in court later this month to respond to a felony count. Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies say they arrested 35-year-old Amanda Bowles of West Main Street Road. She was charged with felony fourth-degree grand larceny stemming from an incident on Sunday. Deputies did not disclose what the incident was.
The Genesee County Ag Society has officially shown off what they are calling the Agri-Cultural Center on East Main Street.
The building purchased is the site of the old Country Max facility near the entrance to the fair grounds.
Organizers Tim Call said it could take up to two years before the center is ready to welcome regular visitors. They are starting a fund raising campaign to repair the building which has been vacated for several years.
The Buffalo Bills have announced that three of their upcoming training camp sessions will be open to the public. Fans will be able to see their favorite players on the field at Highmark Stadium on July 31st, August 7th and September 7th at 10am. Tickets and parking are free but folks will need to register in advance through the team website if they want to attend.
