LeRoy Police have arrested a 47 year old parolee for his alleged connection to the string of larcenies from vehicles over the past few months.
Andrew Kosiorek of Myrtle Street LeRoy was arrested Wednesday night after he was seen by a vigilant citizen allegedly prowling North Street, trying to enter numerous vehicles and stealing items from at least two vehicles.
Upon his arrest, Kosiorek was allegedly found in possession of recently stolen property from vehicles on Church Street and North Street along with a crack cocaine pipe.
Investigators believe that Kosiorek is the person responsible for the rash of Larcenies which has been steadily increasing since the beginning of May.
He was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, three counts of Attempted Petit Larceny and one count of Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance and was committed to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $3,500 cash bail.

House fire on Hutchins Street lands two in the hospital.
The City of Batavia Fire Department responded to a reported house fire with occupants trapped at 13 Hutchins Street early yesterday morning.
Initial fire units arrived to find a man hanging from a second story window and a woman who had jumped from a second story window to escape.
Both victims were transported to area hospitals with their condition unknown at this time.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

A Batavia man lands in lock-up for burglary in Batavia.
24 year old Carlton Beardsley of West Main Street Road is charged with third degree Burglary and Petit Larceny following investigation into an incident at Walmart in Batavia last month.
Beardsley trespassed onto Walmart property after being barred from a previous incident then allegedly stole and inhaled aerosol compressed air for cleaning electronics.
He was remanded to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail and is expected back in Batavia Town Court on July 27th.

A Bank street woman busted for shooting up in the city.
Batavia Police report the arrest of 44 year old Colleen Hutchinson after officers were dispatched to a Hutchins Street address Tuesday morning on a call reporting that a female was allegedly “shooting up”.
Hutchinson was allegedly found in possession of a hypodermic instrument and two glass “crack” pipes and was charged with criminally using drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic instrument.
She was released with an appearance ticket for City Court on July 16th.

The National Weather Service out of Buffalo has issued a Heat Advisory that includes Orleans, Genesee, and Livingston counties.
The advisory is in effect from 11 AM this morning to 6 PM this evening with temperatures expected to reach the mid to upper 90s.
The heat and high humidity will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.
Officials encourage staying hydrated, in an air-conditioned room if possible, to avoid extended time in the sun and check in on relatives and neighbors.
