The Batavia Police Department has arrested a parolee in connection with the burglaries which occurred over the weekend of January 4th, 2019. Christopher T. Sprague, age 25, of 130 W. Main St., Batavia, NY, was arrested on 01/18/2019 and charged with 4 counts of Burglary 3rd. Sprague was in custody at the Genesee County Jail on an unrelated petit larceny charge and a parole warrant at the time of his arrest.

The areas where the burglaries took place are Ellicott St and Jackson St, Harvester Ave, Swan St, Center St, Apollo Dr and Liberty St. The suspects broke windows or kicked in doors to gain entry at most of the businesses.
